Jordan 14 “Wolf Grey” x “Sport Blue” drop on Sat.Aug 2nd!!!!! via FullPiso

Jordan 14 Wolf Grey x Sport Blue

There has been a lot of buzz about “Sport Blue” this summer. A lot of that talk can be credited to the “Sport Blue” Retro 6 that is dropping in the middle of August, but there is a another retro that is sporting that blue too.

The Air Jordan Retro 14 is set to return in a mostly “Wolf Grey” colorway, but it does have some nice blue accents to go along with it. These are dropping the first weekend of August, so you’ll still have time to re-up before the 6′s drop.

The 6′s are no doubt a classic, but let’s not forget the history that comes along with the 14′s. This was the last shoe Jordan rocked on the court before retiring for the second time. Many MJ fans really consider this the end of his storied career and would have preferred that he never returned to lace them up for the Wizards.

Regardless of where you stand in that argument, the 14′s were on-foot when MJ won his 6th and final championship with the Bulls, so they’ll always play a special role in the Jordan Brand legacy.

Air Jordan 1 KO “Chicago” (Sat.March.15) 8am @FinishLine via FullPiso astabajoproject Orlando reggaeton seo

Air Jordan 1 KO Chicago

Air Jordan 1 KO “Chicago”

When it comes to basketball players and their shoes, none are as famous as Michael Jordan and arguably, his debut signature shoe, the Air Jordan 1. This model was thee game-changer for basketball and sneaker culture.

His Airness stepped onto the hardwood with them, got fined $5,000 for violating the strict NBA dress code, and Nike paid each and every one of these fines to create one of the most memorable marketing campaigns ever. This silhouette eventually got banned, and Nike decided to take things a step further by creating this simple yet effective commercial:

Unfortunately, this is not the Air Jordan 1. This is the casual cousin of the Air Jordan 1, the Air Jordan 1 High KO. Last released in this “Chicago” colorway back in 2010, this differs from the original leather AJ1s with a canvas upper and a special AJKO Jordan Wing logo. You’ll also notice a lack of red on the heel and simpler sole design. Much to the delight of old school Jordan lovers, this rendition drops the yellowed, vintage-like sole of the previous release, and incorporates the OG Nike branding on the tongue, outsole, and packaging.

If you’ve been wondering what the “KO” stands for, good luck because apparently nobody really knows. What we do know is that in what was thought to be MJ’s last appearance at the famed Madison Square Garden in New York City against the New York Knicks, he brought out a fresh pair of white, red, and black Air Jordan 1s and what ensued was as beautiful as the shoes. Do yourself right, scoop up a pair, and let your feet speak to one of the greatest players and shoes of all time.

Infrared is more than just a color when it comes to sneakers. In fact, it’s become as iconic as the sneakers that feature the color. From the Air Max 90 to the Air Jordan 6, countless models in between, to this upcoming version of the Air Jordan 3, Infrared instantly turns heads and has the internet buzzing when it lands on a new silhouette.

The Air Jordan 3 “Infrared” only features a hint of the popular color, but it’s tasteful and is combined with the ever-popular Elephant Print that makes the Jordan 3 so popular. The white upper uses a contrasting black tongue and black accents throughout the midsole with Infrared touches on the eyelets and outsole, creating a new but familiar makeup that will be a summer staple.

Jordan 6 Rings "Venom Green" (Sat.March.1st) 8am @FinishLine via FullPiso

Jordan 6 Rings Venom Green
Jordan 6 Rings "Venom Green"

The Jordan 6 Rings originally launched in 2008 and has now become a staple in the Jordan lineup. This retro-inspired design features elements from the signature Jordan models that MJ won NBA Championship titles in but judging by the way it flies off the shelves, it deserves a title of its own.

The latest colorway of the Jordan 6 Rings is the “Venom Green” version. It features an Elephant Print upper design on an otherwise all black upper that has been accented with a contrasting Venom Green inner lining. The finishing touches on this colorway come in the form of the iconic Jumpman Jordan logo on the tongue, which is placed on the heel and tongue of the 6 Rings.

Is Pharrell Next to Sign to adidas? via #FulPiso

 1393277843_468402631.jpg

adidas has recaptured some attention over the past few months. No, not because the brand is killing it in the NBA, with new athlete signings, or challenging the status quo on the soccer field. Instead, the excitement is bred through an unmatched campaign to unite thought leaders in music and style. The three stripes are buzzing after luring a disgruntled Kanye West away from Nike and add him to an already lofty crew of designers that include Yohji Yamamoto, Raf Simons, Rick Owens, and Jeremy Scott. Now it appears there's another big-name signing for adidas that's been just out of sight of the blogosphere, Pharrell Williams.

A month ago, Highsnobiety published an industry rumor that Pharrell was signing to the sports brand, and reported, "Multiple sources have cited that the German firm has been working for months on an agreement that would add Williams to the adidas roster of artists and designers."

Two days later, on January 26, Pharrell showed up to the Grammys in a Vivienne Westwood brown hat that stole the show, but he was also wearing a pivotal garment: A leather version of adidas' classic Firebird jacket that had been made famous by B-boys in the '80s.

Since then, the evidence has been rolling in and pointing to Pharrell - who previously has designed sneakers with A Bathing Ape, Nike, and Reebok - coming on-board with adidas.

Two weeks after Pharrell hit the Grammy red carpet, he appeared at a nominee luncheon for the Academy Awards in a pair of customized white and green adidas Stan Smiths that read, "I Dunno," on the right sneaker sneaker and "Inside" on the left shoe.

Let's pause for a second. When was the last time Pharrell wore sneakers that weren't from a high-end fashion house? read more...

Did Nike Launch "Red October" AirYeezy II the Right Way? via FullPiso astabajoproject Orlando reggaeton seo

At around 1 p.m. EST on February 9, 2014, the sneaker world witnessed something they thought they would never see. In what was possibly the quickest quickstrike of all time, the release of the “Red October” Air Yeezy II officially dropped on Nike.com like a thief in the night.

If you weren’t at the right place at the right time, checking @NikeStore’s Twitter feed with a credit card handy, you were basically shit out of luck because the sneaker sold out in a matter of 11 minutes. But was this the best way for Nike to handle the release of this shoe? It sure was.

The storyline of the release of the Red Octobers is an oddity in this industry, and with every twist and turn the plot has taken in the past year, it’s built up more hype and anticipation among sneakerheads and Kanye Stans.

First, they were be going to be gifted to a few lucky winners of a Willy Wonka-esque giveaway that Kanye West had in June. Then, Foot Locker confirmed that the shoes would be sold at its doors this past December, then canceled the release. The sneakers showed up on Fancy this past week, with a price tag of $10,000 a pair. And somewhere in between all of that, Kanye left Nike to go to adidas.

Despite the murkiness about the Red October's availability, the sneaker community knew that the shoes existed in warehouses somewhere. The hype about the sneakers was real, and controversy about what Nike was going to do with the sneakers kept growing as time passed by.

The company needed to drop this shoe and do it in the quietest way possible. Nike wanted to get this sneaker off their back and finalize the end of its relationship with Kanye West.

But everybody noticed. The words “Yeezys," “Red Octobers," and “The Nike Air Yeezy 2” were all worldwide trending topics within minutes of the drop. There was no escaping the cultural impact that this sneaker had on people and the mythical status these shoes had about them.

Even though the sneakers may be a very small piece of the pie for Nike financially, the Red Octobers, and the Yeezy franchise in general, goes to show what the brand is giving up by letting Kanye West go. The artist’s involvement added a mystique to these products that couldn’t be garnered through technological innovation or multimillion dollar marketing campaigns.

In some ways, Nike devalued itself from a performance aspect with all of the attention being paid on a non-performance product, so why add even more spotlight on by giving the Red Octobers a grand release?

There's also the issue of safety. Remember the madness around the launch of the first Air Yeezy II colorways, with people camping out for months? Exactly why it wouldn't make sense for Nike to drop these shoes at brick-and-mortar stores.

Sunday’s launch of the Red Octobers signaled the official end of the Kanye West x Nike era. The brand can finally move on and put this debacle behind them, while the sneaker community can finally stop wondering when these fabled sneakers will release. Now, they can start looking ahead to Kanye’s next move with adidas.
